University of Wisconsin's "College for Kids" program nominee chooses to support the Food Pantry as part of her application consideration process.
Lilly was recently nominated to apply for University of Wisconsin's “College for Kids” (CFK) program. CFK has been developed as an academic enrichment experience in active learning for highly motivated students. This three-week summer program of courses, demonstrations, tours, and discussions is sponsored by the UW-Madison School of Education, in cooperation with greater Dane County school districts, and with UW faculty, staff, and administration.
Each CFK nominee is required to write a paper based on their chosen topic as part of the application process. Lilly chose the Food Pantry as her topic, but did stop there! With the help of her friends, Lilly also organized a food drive to benefit the Food Pantry. Here is Lilly and her friends bringing in approximately 100 pounds of food for the Food Pantry. Many thanks to Lilly and her friends!! We also wish Lilly good luck in her pursuit of acceptance into the College for Kids program.
