Sun Prairie Food Pantry Services
We invite families and individuals challenged by hunger to visit the Sun Prairie Emergency Food Pantry. We address hunger-related concerns with personalized service, compassion, and dignity.

Food and Personal Care Items
Neighbors struggling with food insecurity can visit the food pantry once every 14 days for healthy food options including fresh vegetables, fruit, cereal, meat, pasta, milk, cheese, bread, kid’s snacks, juice, eggs, and senior boxes.
The pantry also offers personal care items including feminine hygiene products, diapers, laundry soap, deodorant, toothpaste and more.

Senior Boxes for Ages 60 and Over
Working with the Community Action Coalition (CAC), the food pantry is one of the largest distributors of senior boxes in Dane County. We distributed 1,744 boxes to low-income seniors in 2020. Every senior box contains a healthy mix of supplemental food items.
To qualify for the program, you must be 60 or older and meet a monthly income requirement of 130% at or below the federal poverty level, so $1,353 for one person or $1,832 for 2 people.

Transportation Services
We make FREE taxi service available to Sun Prairie residents. Call (608) 837-5550 to receive taxi transport to and from the food pantry.

Thanksgiving Baskets
In 2022, the food pantry distributed 376 Thanksgiving baskets to ensure clients have food for a holiday meal. Sign-up runs from October 1 to October 31 (may end sooner if we meet our request limit). We distribute baskets on the 3rd Saturday in November.
